The partnership between South Texas College (STC) and National American University (NAU) creates a seamless path for STC graduates to continue their education online and pursue associate’s or bachelor’s degrees at NAU. By recognizing the strength of STC’s array architecture & construction, business, computer & information technology, STEM, and public safety related programs, NAU helps students build on what they’ve already achieved. With flexible online coursework, generous transfer pathways, and personalized advising, STC’s graduates can move forward with confidence and complete their next credential on their terms.

YOUR PATH, YOUR CHOICE

NAU welcomes STC graduates into a variety of associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs designed for working adults. According to the
Bureau of Labor Statistics, individuals with higher levels of education earn more on average, experience lower unemployment rates, and benefit from enhanced long-term career stability.

The following programs represent articulation paths NAU and STC have specifically mapped for STC graduates:

  • STC AS in Construction in Supervision into NAU BS in Construction Management
  • STC graduates are welcome to explore any programs NAU offers.

Leverage Your Experience and What You’ve Earned at STC: Transfer Seamlessly to NAU

National American University offers multiple pathways for STC graduates to apply previously earned education and training toward an NAU degree:

  • ACE-transcript Credit: NAU accepts appropriate ACE-evaluated learning, including eligible military and professional education.
  • JST Credit or Equivalent: Military learners may receive credit for documented training applicable to their program.
  • Transfer Credit: NAU accepts academic credits from recognized or accredited institutions with a grade of “C” or higher (some programs may require a higher grade).
  • Credit for Prior Learning: Eligible work experience, professional training, and prior non-collegiate learning may be awarded credit, up to policy limits.
  • Evaluation of Learning Equivalence: NAU evaluates designated work experience, military training, and state/national agency-recognized training for potential academic credit.

Through these pathways, STC graduates may transfer up to 75% of an undergraduate program, reducing both time and cost on the path to degree completion.
